Walmart Heart is one part of the philanthropic side of Walmart. Walmart Heart started with on Walmart Truck Driver befriending a sick child and building a lasting friendship. Now it includes drivers from across the United States impacting thousands of individuals on a local level. This program allows drivers to reach out to children or adults with chronic medical conditions or special needs, or families of those serving in the military experiencing difficulties.
This past Saturday, February 11, 2012, drivers representing Walmart Heart honored Madison and Kendall by making them honorary truck drivers, and showering them with gifts.

The Walmart truck drivers were the nicest guys around. The best way to sum up the feeling we all felt that day for those drivers is a quote from Sam Walton, "When you're out on the highway, you can bet your bottom dollar the guy behind the wheel is a true professional. He's not just driving a truck. He's dedicated to serving our stores and he's an ambassador to everything we stand for out on the road."
Thank you so very much for covering this Cheryl....life will be so much better for Madison and Kendall now that they have lap top computers that were given to them by the truck drivers. When they are Hospitalized they can now communicate with their family's through Skype!
